SCOPE: Branding, Art Direction, Print

OBJECTIVEIdentify a problem that can be solved through the graphic design process. Conduct research, investigate various audiences and stakeholders and integrate a variety of design solutions using a comprehensive branding system.

APPROACH
Since the demand for palm oil has risen, beginning in the late 20th century, huge areas of forest in South–East Asia and Africa have been destroyed. Palm to Palm is a non–profit organization creates guidelines to raise awareness among consumers and promote the use of sustainable palm oil products. The goal is to lessen the environmental impact caused by palm oil supply chains and enable sustainable living.



設計背景

棕櫚油是消費製成品中的一種常見的原料。小至食品化妝品,大致生物燃料。但是隨著棕櫚油需求的增長,大片的熱帶森林遭到砍伐和焚燒,加速全球暖化以及物種的滅絕。即使現在有一些非營利組織正致力於發展可永續的棕櫚油的全球標準,但棕櫚油問題仍然還沒被消費者廣泛的重視。

設計概念
於是我想藉由這個虛擬的品牌Palm to Palm,透過新穎活潑的品牌形象,促進消費者對永續棕櫚油的關注,使用已認證棕櫚油源的產品,改變棕櫚油生產鏈的發展、進而提昇環境品質、維護生態資源。Palm to Palm 就猶如字面上的意思,將棕櫚樹捧在手心裡呵護,此品牌的理想是與公益組織一同促進棕櫚油的永續發展、確保棕櫚油生產者負起環境與社會責任。
